What clothes should I bring?

When you arrive the weather will be hot - so shorts and t-shirts are the order of the day (except in class - in class it is expected that you will wear casual business wear).  Clothes are cheap in Shanghai and you can either buy ready made in the market - shirts for about 7 dollars, or have your clothing made to measure at one of the many tailors in Shanghai (a pair of dress pants costs about 140RMB (less than $30 - and made from Australian or Italian wool)
