Discipline
Good discipline is the responsibility of everyone within the building. The staff operates from a preventative posture
in establishing overall school discipline rather than from a crisis perspective. Consistent clear expectations for
student and good supervision prevent many problems from developing.
Each student is given a copy of the student handbook and is given an opportunity to have a voice. Every attempt
is made to be fair and consistent within the circumstances of each situation and due process is in place.
Discipline procedures and consequences are addressed in the Student/Parent Handbook.
The major responsibilities of teachers is to provide an effective instructional program in the classroom. In
this regard, the teachers shall be responsible for the care, discipline and instruction of pupils in their
charge. Teachers shall enforce all rules governing the conduct of pupils; as such rules may be prescribed

The staff as a team, develops a plan of action for students who have behavioral, emotional or academic concerns
the. Often parents are involved at this juncture. Respect for others and respect for property is to be modeled at all
times. Adolescents often challenge authority in this regard. It is important that they know what expectations will be
